The woman who decorated Grace
Mugabe’s Weeding in Kutama on 17 August 1996, Sue Chapman is still
waiting for her payment 19 years on, it has been learned. The lavish
wedding that saw Joaqim Chisano as the best man and also attended by
Nelson Mandela, costed the suppliers a fortune but Grace known for not
paying for any service simply didn’t bother to pay 19 years on. Sue had
to subcontract other suppliers to decorate a lavish sitting of over
12000 people, the invoice was given to Grace, nicknamed “Amazing Grace”
by her admirers at the wedding, but 19 years on, the first family have
not paid a cent, I can reveal. The double dipping by Grace in
government coffers with regards to recent Tractors Gate is therefore not
new to her. She strongly believes that she has a God given right to lay
her hands on anything Zimbabwean without paying and that every
Zimbabwean owes her a living.
Grace is not new to controversy and grabbing services without paying;
