Refugee influx, the cost of doing nothing

Europe for the first time since the Second World War (1945) is experiencing the first hand of the effects of ill governance, tyrant, lawlessness and conflict. The system in the Balkans have collapsed, Italy and Greece’s migration system is failing to coop has over 340,000 people this year alone made to Europe’s shores illegally apart from those using other conventional means, the highest humanitarian mass movement since 1945. In the same period over 2000 people drowned in the Mediterranean Sea trying to make the journey to Europe from Africa. European policy makers are bewildered, overwhelmed and clueless on how to tackle the issue as this is unprecedented. AU chairman Robert Mugabe, President of a failed state Zimbabwe, in his 90s, is too frail to even notice it late alone act.  As I see it this is the price of doing nothing at the time of conflict and bad governance.  Germany has promised to take up to 80o,000 refugees, by far the highest number in the EU with UK, with all its economic mighty taking less than a fifth of that.
Drawing parallels: This surge of migrants from conflict and impoverished Africa and Middles East, is synonymous with the surge of Zimbabweans since 2000 into SADC countries, running away from state sponsored violence, absent of rule of law and economic meltdown.  It is believed that almost 3 million Zimbabweans crossed into South Africa alone, and when other numbers spread across Commonwealth countries are taken into consideration, over 5 million Zimbabweans, are believed to have left the country, more than the population of Republic of Ireland at 4.58 million. UN did nothing, Europe did nothing, USA did nothing, and AU did nothing SADC did nothing. We still have the rogue ZANU PF leading the country, still a glaring humanitarian catastrophe.  Now that EU, you know how crisis in one part of the country can be a catastrophe 10,000 miles away, you will now give Zimbabwe plight the importance it deserve. The effects of civil conflicts are transboundary just like the weather pattern.  South Africa must be applauded for taking 100 times the number of refugees from one country than EU. I hope the UN is helping South Arica coop with the Zimbabweans influx. The solution to Zimbabwe is a regime change, no but no if!
Welcome to the real world EU...
